IIS is based at the Aga Khan Centre (AKC), in the heart of London鈥檚 Knowledge Quarter in King鈥檚 Cross. The AKC is also home to the (ISMC) and the (AKF) UK. We collaborate with other institutions of the Ismaili Imamat and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), and collaborate with other institutions in the Knowledge Quarter. IIS publishes in association with various academic publishers, mainly , , and . We partner with and to offer our two graduate programmes.

Aga Khan Development Network

The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is a contemporary endeavour of the Ismaili Imamat to realise the social conscience of Islam through institutional action. Founded by His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV and currently led by His Highness Prince Rahim al-Hussaini Aga Khan V, the AKDN brings together a number of agencies, institutions, and programmes that have been built up over the past fifty years and aim at improving living conditions and opportunities in specific regions of the developing world.

The organisations that are located at the AKC work together to bridge the gap in understanding about Muslim cultures and to connect the public to global development issues. The AKC hosts a variety of events, exhibitions and talks that are open to the public.
