��Ƶ moves to its permanent home at the Aga Khan Centre, London. IIS is co-located with the Aga Khan University’s Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations and the Aga Khan Foundation (UK) in a purpose-built building designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Fumihiko Maki. The AKC, which also houses the Aga Khan Library, features state-of-the-art teaching, conference and exhibition facilities, as well as courtyard and rooftop gardens inspired by the diverse landscapes of the Muslim world.

A new Board of Governors is appointed and the IIS launches its new website
